Kripalu yoga is a gentle, meditative style of yoga. In the practice of Kripalu yoga, you are guided to move at your own pace, honoring your body's needs in each moment. The Kripalu approach to yoga is a compassionate, non-judgmental self-inquiry.
If you ever thought or maybe said out loud “I would like to try yoga, but I can’t do that” then gentle Kripalu yoga for beginners is for you! All are welcome, whether you believe you are flexible or not, have medical concerns or simply want to slow down and enjoy each moment as it arrives. Kripalu yoga is a gentle, meditative style of yoga. This class will include breath work (pranayama), postures (asanas) including restorative postures (using props to support the body), meditation, mudras (hand gestures) and more. In the practice of Kripalu yoga, you are guided to move at your own pace, honoring your body's needs in each moment. The Kripalu approach to yoga is a compassionate, non-judgmental self-inquiry. This gentle/beginner yoga class is designed to cultivate a relaxed state in the body and in the mind. For beginners and for experienced students of all ages, there is something to gain from taking this gentle class. Modifications for poses will be shown frequently and principles of body alignment and breath awareness are emphasized throughout class. Yoga is known to encourage balance, core strength, and increased range of motion, flexibility and relaxation. Kripalu is a self-inquiry approach to yoga; students are encouraged to be mindful of the needs of their individual body with an attitude of curiosity and compassion.

Tiffanie received her 200 hour yoga teacher certification from Kripalu in western MA. She first visited Kripalu and began practicing yoga when she was 11 years old. After visiting many times more, volunteering and living there, and meeting numerous inspirational teachers along the road; she knew her next step would be to share the magic that Kripalu and yoga has to offer. Tiffanie feels that practicing yoga with self awareness, compassion, and authenticity is a nurturing and therapeutic way to connect deeper and feel good! Also a hoola hooper, reiki practitioner, hiker, and lover of music; she believes connecting rhythm and nature to her yoga practice is essential. Besides teaching yoga, Tiffanie is a school teacher as well, and enjoys being around the wonder and carefree spirit of children. As a yoga teacher, she strives to bring this same kind of wonder and spirit to her classes.
